HERBIE HANCOCK - DEDICATION (1974)

It seems it still is a hard-to-find japanese import - can't believe it - so here it is @320. One side acoustic, one side electric, complete solo performance.

HUGE thanks for this, Vesper! I've been looking for this for years and years.

( ... along with another Japan-only Hancock from around then, called "The Square". You don't by any chance ... ???!!)

Michael,
I've never heard of any Hancock called The Square, a quick Google search did not give anything consistant, so if you or anyone else have more info about it...

Well, in Japan around these years (a little bit later, from 1976 indeed), appeared one of the most famous jazz-fusion band in Japan. Formed by Andô Masahiro (guitar) in 1976, soon backed up by sax player Itô Takeshi, this band was first called "The square", and evolved from 1988 to "T-square"... Could they be the ones you were talking about, Michael ? Anyway I've never heard of something like a collaboration with Hancock.

That's all I know about it, Vesper. It'd probably from the mid 70's, I think, and probably is also on CBS Sony Japan, but I don't have a catalog number or any other details. All I know is that it's been on my "Wants" list ever since!
