Eddie Russ and Ron "Kingfish" Brooks! thanks!!!!!!!
ahhhhh...THIS is the one i've been waiting so long for....
Thanks a lot!!! Tribe Rulez!!!
Many thanks for this - even the Soul Jazz reissue from yonks ago (early 90's) is hard to track down now. Needless to say I didn't bother getting it at the time and it's bugged me ever since!
Vesper -- thanks again. You're knocking us out! The more Tribe (or Black Jazz), the merrier. I hope you're digging the W. Harrison. Great stuff all around. I'll be checking back here more often!
brand new TRIBE album coming in 2008 with original members - DOUG HAMMOND, MARCUS BELGRAVE, WENDELL HARRISON, PHIL RANELIN and Carl Craig behind the decks

they are about to unveil a rarely heard / never anthologized 7" from 1976
Also there's a 12" called LIVIN IN A NEW DAY on PLANET E / COMMUNITY PROJECTS VERY VERY SOON
this is wonderful! I'm enjoying it a lot. Do you have any of the detroit Strata lp's to share?
been away a little while and now frantically catching up on the tribe. you're killing it on the decks! thanks

This is a good one. It's making me reconsider the tribe.
Thanks Partna!!!!
Man, I'd hadn't heard of tribe before your blog. Thanks so much!
First time here and what a massive source of real treasures. Thanks for all the beautiful Tribe gems I was only familiar with through the Soul Jazz comp some years back.
